Groundhog Dash was born to Fawn Shine and Finch Foot alongside his siblings: Cedar Fur, Warbler Talon, and Button Shimmer. He was mentored by Seal Fur. On Moon 80, Groundhog Dash and Seal Fur were on a patrol alongside Robin Tumble, Spruce Fern, Fawn Shine, and Cedar Fur when they were attacked by rogues. Groundhog Dash and Seal Fur did not make it out of the fight alive.

Groundhog Dash was a short-furred, cream spotted tabby tom with spring green eyes. He was of average height (10.13"), with an intermediate body type.
